Why I Love The 5 Minute Journal
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit - Aristotle
Have you ever gone to bed with a bad attitude and had a restless night's sleep? Maybe you woke up grumpy, which affected the rest of your day. Everything seems to be going wrong, you always look at the glass half empty and your vocabulary is full of negative words.
I have been that person. And it is not a good feeling when someone calls you out on it. Truth be told, you cannot fully control an outcome or circumstances that occur. But you can control how you react and your attitude toward yourself and the world around you. Positivity takes practice and repetition, but once you get the hang of it you will completely change your outlook on the world.
This is why I love The Five Minute Journal. First thing when you wake up, you write down 3 things you are grateful for (vary big to small), and 3 things you hope to accomplish that day. You also write down a daily affirmation. At the end of the day before bed, you write down 3 things that went well. You are setting the tone for a good day and ending the day on a positive note.
It is so easy to start your day thinking of a laundry list of items you need to check off, and ending your day mulling over what could have gone better. The Five Minute Journal takes - quite literally - 5 minutes out of your day. After a few days, it will flip your mindset upside down.
"IT'S THE REPETITION OF AFFIRMATIONS THAT LEADS TO BELIEF. AND ONCE THAT BECOMES A DEEP CONVICTION, THINGS BEGIN TO HAPPEN" - MUHAMMAD ALI
You know the saying "you are what you eat?" This does not apply to just food, you guys. We are what we ingest... so ingest positivity and gratefulness. Overflow with love and radiate joy. You will see a massive impact on your home, work, social and travel life.
